Our Roots
Hacienda represents one of our co-founder's great grandfather who owned the Hacienda before the Mexican revolution. He grew coffee and that tradition continues to this day. There are about 43 coffee growers in the area. Several are connected to Hacienda. Oscar and Ali Bucio and his family are the story behind the company.

Hacienda Coffee is 100% shade grown coffee cultivated in Mexico’s Sierra Madre del Sur mountains.
Hacienda Coffee is exclusively sourced from small family growers. With our growers we take meticulous care in every aspect of our seed to cup coffee. Our shade grown coffee is harvested by hand, then carefully milled, sorted and graded at our coffee mill in Guerrero Mexico.
We small batch roast to bring out optimal flavor and aroma. We roast our shade grown coffee at the Bay Area Co-Roasters cooperative in Berkeley, California.
